The weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which holds every Wednesday will not hold tomorrow, the Minister of Information and Culture has said.
Lai Mohammed, made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.
He said Ministers did not have sufficient time to “prepare documents for the meeting because of the Eid-ul Kabir holiday.”
This is not the first time FEC meeting would be cancelled.
In past situations when the meeting was cancelled, the Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina had said it wasn’t compulsory to hold the meeting every week.
“There is no law that says the Federal Executive Council meeting should hold every week. Under a past administration, it used to hold once every two weeks. It depends on what you have on the agenda to discuss,” Adesina said.
