FG hails Super Eagles despite AFCON 2025
The Federal Government has commended the Super Eagles for their performance at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), assuring the team that the nation remains proud of their efforts despite falling short of the title.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the government praised the players for their resilience, discipline and determination, noting that they represented Nigeria with honour throughout the tournament. The statement acknowledged the disappointment of not lifting the trophy but stressed that the team’s display reflected progress and renewed hope for Nigerian football.
