FIFA World Cup: Tunisia’s 1-0 victory over France not enough as Denmark fail to beat Australia

Tunisia were almost jubilating with the hope of advancing to the knockout stages after scoring against France believing Denmark would beat Australia but that did not happen as the latter claimed victory joining France in Group D to make it through.

It was a hard fighting match for Tunisia who did not score a goal in their last two matches until Wahbi Khazri finally found the back of the net in the 58th to put the Carthage Eagles ahead.

The African country defended their one goal for nearly 40 minutes including added time when France equalised courtesy Antione Griezman but it was ruled offside.

At the other venue, Denmark who Tunisia were banking on to beat Australia failed to perform as they lost by a 1-0.
