Former APGA chair Njoku takes helm as NRM national chairman

Chief Edozie Njoku, the former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has officially been appointed as the new national chairman of the National Rescue Movement (NRM).

Njoku’s journey has been characterised by perseverance. He first rose to prominence as APGA’s chairman following a landmark Supreme Court ruling, but that victory was later reversed after the court determined he had never been formally appointed.

Undeterred by this setback, Njoku maintained his resolve and sought new opportunities.

During an emergency national convention held in Abuja, which was overseen by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Njoku was unanimously elected as the national chairman of NRM.

His election follows the resignation of Ambassador Isaac Udeh, who will now serve as the national organising secretary.

Party members showed strong support for Njoku, acknowledging his wealth of experience and leadership skills as vital for steering the NRM into a fruitful future.

After his election, Njoku expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ambassador Udeh for his dedication and contributions to the party.

He also committed to revitalising and repositioning the NRM as it prepares for the upcoming governorship election in Anambra State.
