From Bank Executive To Governor: Dauda Lawal declares N9 trillion worth of assets

The newly inaugurated Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, has made a staggering declaration of 9 trillion Naira in cash, investments, and property assets.

The Code of Conduct Bureau had mandated all newly elected governors to submit their asset declarations to the Bureau before May 29th, 2023, when they were sworn in.

Many citizens were taken aback when it was revealed that Governor Lawal claimed to be worth N9,000,000,000,000.00, which, when converted to US Dollars, amounts to approximately 12 billion dollars.

Dauda Lawal, a former Executive Director at First Bank of Nigeria Plc, had also worked alongside the former Minister of Petroleum, Allison Madueke.
