Goma Ismaila, notorious killer, kidnapper arrested by Army

A dangerous kidnapper and cattle rustler, Goma Ismaila who has been killing and kidnapping people in Kaduna, especially in the Birnin Gwari axis, Southern Kaduna, Niger, Zamfara, Katsina and Sokoto State has been arrested by the Nigeria Army in their ongoing operation to eradicate kidnappers and bandits.

Goma Ismaila confessed in an interrogation by the Army that, although he has engaged in kidnapping many people in the past and collected millions of naira, which he shared with members of his gang, he will not engage in the dangerous activities any longer, if he was allowed to live.

He also confessed that in the case where a victim’s family was unable to pay the ransom demanded, he/she is sold off to traders in human body parts for ritual purposes.

He named many people that they had kidnapped during their operations, mostly in states of the Northwest; he also mentioned the amount of money they have collected from their victims.

According to him, he has been involved in cattle rustling for close to 20 years and kidnapping for over 10 years. They have different groups operating in these criminal activities, and most of them carry dangerous weapons, which they obtain from those operating from the cities.
