Gombe gets new Immigration comptroller

A new comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Alhaji Ado Sabo Rano, has been posted to Gombe State.

The new comptroller announced his posting to the state Monday when he paid a visit to the government house to familiarise himself with the state government.

He said he was at the government house to register his presence in the state and solicit the government’s support and collaboration.

Rano explained that the service is committed to discharging its constitutional responsibilities which include controlling the movement of people in and out of the country.

The comptroller said all the armed forces have a role to play in ensuring the security of the nation while calling on the government at all levels to support their personnel.

Responding, the secretary to the state government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi who received the newly posted comptroller on behalf of Governor Inuwa Yahaya, assured of the government’s collaboration with and continued support for the service and other federal agencies in the state.
