A statement signed by Mukhtar M Gidado, Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Governor said that Kashim’s re-appointment was informed by his track record of sincerity, loyalty, commitment and wealth of experience in the discharge of assigned responsibilities and the appointment takes immediate effect.

Kashim is the immediate past Secretary to the Bauchi State Government who was elected by the PDP delegates as a governorship candidate of the party but withdrew his candidature when Governor Bala Mohammed lost his presidential ambition after he participated in the last PDP presidential primaries.
