Gov. Buni commends Yobeans for good conduct during President Buhari’s visit

The Executive Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has appreciated Yobe people for their support and good conduct when President Muhammadu Buhari visited the state.

In a press statement signed by the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, the Governor hailed the people for their contribution in making the visit a success, Independent News reports.

He said, “I sincerely extend my warm appreciation to our traditional rulers, opinion leaders, stakeholders, illustrious sons and daughters of the state for making the visit very successful” Governor Buni said.

Governor Buni said the support, cooperation and orderly behaviour of the good people of the state is a true reflection of the culture of good hosts identified with the people of Yobe State.

“We thank Almighty Allah for the hitch-free visit and the orderly behaviour of our people who trooped out to welcome the President, his entourage, and other guests.

“We are proud of hosting the President who spent the night with us in Damaturu, this is a confirmation of peace has returned to our dear state,” Buni said.

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari, the security forces, the vigilante and the good people of the state for the collective fight against insecurity.

The governor charged the people to remain focused and determined towards building sustainable peace in the state.
