Gov Buni Commissions 4km township road, 8km drainage in Buni Yadi

The Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni on Thursday commissioned 4 kilometres township road and 8 kilometres concrete drainage in Buni Yadi, Gugba Local Government.

Buni enjoined the people Buni Yadi to imbibe ownership spirit of the project.

“All I want from you as from today on as a people you should take the ownership of what had been executed in your immediate environments for the benefit of all and safe guide them to ensure judicious use of it in future”.

Governor Buni also reiterated his administration’s intentions to carry everyone alone in his strategic plans to move the state forward.

“It is the intention of our Government to carry everybody along particularly those dwelling in the rural areas.

“That why today we launching  Social Infrastructures that has a direct bearing to the common man,  by doing so sky would be our limit towards diversifying our own state economy”, he said.

Buni added that similar projects had been going on in other locations across the state.

“We did the same projects in other Local Governments areas as Jaji Maji of Karasuwa, Babban Gida of Tarmuwa and Damagum of Fune local governments.”

Earlier in his remarks, the Commissioner, Ministry of Works, Umar Wakil stated that the whole projects were executed jointly by the State and the Local Governments through Direct Labour by the Ministry of Works.

Wakil further urged the people in the community to complement the effort of Government by protecting these facilities for their own interest.
