Gunmen kidnap 3-year-old boy in Potiskum, parents seek assistance
The entire community of Potiskum was on Thursday thrown into pandemonium after the reported kidnap of a three-year-old boy, Adamu Abubakar Baban Yawo, who was abducted by unknown persons in the area.
The incident as reported by the police in a statement sent to Neptune Prime said the little boy was playing outside with his elder brother Mohd Abubakar Baban Yawo when 3 unknown persons abducted him.
The statement also revealed that the captors have made contact with the family demanding the sum of N2 million as ransom to be paid not later than the 2nd of October and failure could lead to the death of the little boy.
It is however suspected that the perpetrators may be close to the family as the way through which they got the phone number remain suspicious since the little child doesn’t have a phone with him.
The family has however called for fervent prayers and assistance to ensure the safe release of their child.
