Harvesters Church launches three month N50,000 aid scheme for unemployed members
Harvesters International Church has unveiled a three-month financial assistance programme aimed at supporting members who actively serve in the church but are currently without jobs.
The initiative, announced by the church’s Senior Pastor, Bolaji Idowu, during a Sunday service, will see eligible members receive a monthly stipend of N50,000 to help them remain financially stable while searching for new employment.
Pastor Idowu explained that the support is targeted at church workers and leaders who recently lost their jobs and are in transition. He noted that the church has a responsibility to care for its members, especially during challenging times.

“All those that serve in church and are in between jobs—those who had jobs but lost them—over the next three months, we will be giving them N50,000 every month to help them until they get their next job,” he said.
He added that the programme would cover leaders serving in various capacities within the church, stressing the importance of collective support among members.
“One of the things the church should do is to be there for one another and help them stabilise,” Idowu stated.
Eligible members were advised to register with the church administration, with the pastor assuring that the process would be simple due to the trust already established through their service.

The announcement has been warmly received by congregants, many of whom have praised the initiative as a meaningful and practical expression of care for members facing unemployment.
