A dismissed police corporal, Daniel Aaron, was caught on CCTV camera stealing an Infinix X5 phone in Abuja.
The footage showed how Aaron, 37, stole the phone which was charging around the Police IRT Commander’s office.
The Benue State indigene also admitted that his wife left him after he lost his job and that he stole the phone in order to sell it to get money to feed his children when arrested.
He went on to say that he was dismissed from the Nigerian Police Force in 2014 after being involved in an accident discharge case.
When asked about the phone he stole, he said he had sold it to one Abdul in Mararaba, Nasarawa state, for N37,000. He went on to say that he had given some of the money to his relatives.
