How mutual trust makes Burutai aid Bauchi community

Kili community in Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State has explained mutual trust, honesty and integrity makes the Chief of Army Staff Tukur Yusuf Burutai rebuild their oldest Primary School and provided them with a model solar boreholes in the area.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman Darazo Local Government Area Alhaji Abbas Waziri stated this yesterday at the end of the commissioning ceremony of the Project in Kili, He said mutual trust existed between the community and Burutai over the years, he used to keep his belongings in the hands of the community and the community used to keep it safe and protect it which led to the development of mutual trust between the Army General and the community.

Abbas said Burutai used to visit the community, gave them palliatives and gifts to each household especially during the fasting of Ramadan, and many times when he visited the community he used to visit each household and extend his hands of friendship to them and assist them if Army is recruiting soldiers.

He said the action makes the entire Darazo Local Government and the people of Bauchi State proud and explained the renovation of the School and the construction of solar boreholes will ameliorate the problems of the community and restated his commitment to accord more priority to education, Health care, agriculture and declare war against afforestation.

The Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB Dr Abubakar Sirimbai Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi pledged to make the judicious use of the Project and announced that the State Governor has renamed the School to be called General Tukur Yusuf Burutai Model Primary School Kili

Dr Surumbai said Governor Bala Mohammed has accessed Nine billion Naira funds to execute 2017, 2018, and 2019 UBEC /SUBEB projects and under 2017/2018 he constructed about 700 blocks of classrooms across the nooks and crannies of the state.

Governor Bala who was represented by the Chief of Staff to the Governor Dr Ladan Salihu commended the cordial relationship existing between the Army and the people of the State and thanked the Army General for complementing government effort by executing a laudable project that will improve the living standard of the community.

Commissioning the project General Burutai who was represented by the Commandant School of Armour Major General James Komolafe said Army supports the community under its corporate social responsibility.

He said before now Kili primary School was in a state of disrepair and problem of unavailability of potable water, toilet facilities, playground, and lack of perimeter wall and explained that the projects executed included the construction and renovation of two blocks of classrooms, stores, offices, and toilets, the sinking of a borehole with adequately reticulated water to the entire community and two culverts and drainage system constructed to enable easy access and effective channelling of water to tackle the problem of erosion in the area.
