I lost my job investigating a contract deal – Former Kano anti-graft boss, Gado

The immediate past executive chairman of Kano State Anti-corruption and Public Complaints Commission, Barrister Magaji Muhyi Rimin Gado has threatened that very soon he will tell the entire public the reason why Kano State government suspended him from office and later removed him completely.

Speaking in a radio programme in Kano, Barrister Rimin Gado said he has no fear over the ongoing probe of his tenure by a committee setup by Kano State House of Assembly, because even on the day he was sacked, he only had N73,000 in the accounts of the commission yet he discharged his duties as stipulated by the law before handing over.

Barrister Rimin Gado who recently opened his law chamber in Kano, after his removal from office by the Ganduje administration, noted that since the Ganduje/Jafaar Jafaar scandal, the state government subjected his commission to serious financial difficulties due to the commission, but added that very soon he will state his own side of the story over the dollar video scandal.

“People should know that I lost my job because I was investigating a contract deal in Ministry of works with the contractor from the first family; the intention was to save hundreds of millions of for Kano State people but this did not go down well with those who appointed me, so they used Kano State House of Assembly to probe and remove me”.

Concluding that he is a qualified lawyer from Kano and passionate about the interest of Kano people, he said he will soon reveal the details of what transpired when he was in office for people to know why he is being prosecuted.
