Ibiambo Awajionyi set to launch book about life in riverine areas, perseverance, success

An Electrical/Electronics Engineer, Ibiambo Awajionyi, has written a book, “Against All Odds” about the challenges of coming from a less privileged background, the need to persevere and thrive no matter the circumstances inorder to attain success.

Awajionyi grew up in Bundu Waterfront a suburb in Port Harcourt township, he is a native of Unyeada Kingdom in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, a vibrant town in Andoni.

The book tells the author’s story, from humble beginnings to achieving success against all odds.

He said “Against All Odds” resonates deeply with his journey in life, how he overcame numerous challenges and stayed focused to achieve his dreams.

Speaking on the motivation for the book with Neptune Prime in Abuja, Awajionyi recalled his years in the Bundu Waterfront, where most children don’t know what brick walls or houses with private toilets look like, a community that has polluted the upbringing of so many children and the leaders of tomorrow.

He said in such communities, children can be found engaging in immoral activities, some ventured into crime at a very tender age because they assumed they cannot amount to anything meaningful in life.

He said, “Growing up, I faced numerous challenges that could have derailed my dreams, but I refused to let circumstances define me. Instead, I chose to rise above them, pushing beyond what was thought possible. I want to inspire you to do the same – to defy expectations, shatter limitations, and achieve greatness against all odds.

He said despite the numerous obstacles like coming from a low income family, having limited access to quality education he grabbed unto his determination to succeed, worked hard, and reached his goal.

The author said the book can be introduced to the syllabus of the riverine areas of states and other communities in the country that battle such menace where young people waste their lives and will to impact their generation.

He recommends the impactful literature for private and public schools to help shape the mentality of young readers to see life differently despite the kind of background they have.

Against All Odds is at its final stage of review and will be published soon. For sponsorship and further details, Awajionyi can be reached at ellitegifted@gmail.com
