Ikorodu City, Nasarawa Utd, 2 others, earn promotions to NPFL
Exciting news from the Nigerian football scene as four teams, Ikorodu City, Nasarawa United, Elkanemi Warriors, and Beyond Limits, earned promotions to the prestigious Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
This marks a significant milestone for Ikorodu City as they will be competing in the NPFL for the first time in their history, alongside the other three deserving teams who secured their spots during the NNL Super 8 playoff.
Ikorodu City and Beyond Limits showcased their skills by emerging as the top two teams in the Southern Conference of the NNL, while Elkanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United claimed the top positions in the Northern Conference.
Elkanemi Warriors showed their strength by defeating Sokoto United 4-1, securing six points and finishing as the runners-up.

While Nasarawa United clinched their spot in the NPFL with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Supreme, accumulating a total of nine points.
It’s a remarkable achievement for both Elkanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United, who were relegated from the NPFL last season but have made a strong comeback this year.
