Kaduna Governor Under Fire: El-Rufa’i’s son launches bold attack

Bashir El-Rufai, son of the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has launched scathing remarks against the current governor, Uba Sani, accusing him of neglecting his duties by spending excessive time away from the state and surrounding himself with inept aides.

In what appears to be a prelude to a political showdown in Kaduna State, Bashir El-Rufai criticized Governor Sani for allegedly residing in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, instead of being actively present in Kaduna State.

Furthermore, Bashir accused Governor Sani of appointing incompetent aides for political reasons, rather than focusing on efficient governance.

Responding to the Kaduna State government’s claims about inheriting a significant debt burden from the previous administration, Bashir dismissed the excuse as a deflection tactic.

He asserted that Governor Sani, as a former senator representing Kaduna Central, had approved the loans he now complains about.

Bashir’s criticisms were expressed through a series of tweets, where he lambasted the current administration for what he perceived as incompetence and mismanagement of resources. He highlighted extravagant spending, such as the construction of a banquet hall worth billions of naira, while lamenting about inherited debts.

The exchange underscores growing tensions within Kaduna State’s political landscape, setting the stage for potential confrontations between the El-Rufai camp and Governor Sani’s administration.
