Kidnappers along the dreaded Abuja – Kaduna expressway has reportedly killed Colonel SB Onifade, a consultant gynaecologist with the army who was abducted near Olam Farm area while travelling at night on 27 September 2020. it was learnt the officer was killed despite payment of N10million ransom requested by his abductors.
It was gathered that the Nigerian Army had launched a strenuous rescue operation for the officer, while negotiation for the ransom was ongoing but credible sources revealed that Mr Onifade was killed on Saturday despite payment of the N10million ransom by family and friends.
All attempt to reach Colonel Sagir Musa, spokesman for the Nigerian Army, proved abortive as he did not respond to various communication channels.
The Abuja-Kaduna expressway is now notoriously known for kidnapping activities despite security patrol around the hotspots.
