Gunmen abduct three INEC Officials, passengers En route to Anambra election duty in Kogi
Three officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and several other passengers have been abducted by gunmen in Kogi State.
The victims, all women identified as Chinenye Oji, Adamaka Anih, and Catherine Temaugee, were reportedly travelling from Abuja to Anambra State for pre-election assignments ahead of the November 8 governorship election when they were kidnapped at Aloma, a community near the Benue border.

According to a relative of one of the abducted officials, the victims were travelling in a Sienna bus they boarded at Utako Motor Park in Abuja early Tuesday morning. They were reportedly on their way to handle critical election preparations, including the printing of voters’ registers and other materials for the upcoming poll.
Other passengers, including the driver’s wife, were also taken by the abductors.
Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the incident as families of the victims continue to express concern over their safety
