Lakurawa kills 2 policemen in Kebbi, rustles over 200 cows

Gunmen, believed to be members of the Lakurawa terrorist group, have killed two policemen and stolen over 200 cows from Natsini village in Argungu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 11 pm.

Reports from the village reveal that the policemen, who were stationed at a checkpoint along the Augie/Kangiwa road, were attacked by over 50 assailants on motorcycles. The attackers overpowered the officers before proceeding to a nearby ranch where they rustled the cows.

Abubakar Augie, a local resident, confirmed the cows belonged to a prominent civil servant in the area, Lawali Black. He described the attackers as a large group, stating, “The Lakurawa were more than 50 on motorcycles; after overpowering the few policemen at the checkpoint, they went to where the cows were kept in his ranch and went away with them.”
