Hajiya Fatima Goje, the daughter of Sen. Danjuma Goje, representing Gombe Central senatorial district has called on women to actively participate in forthcoming LG elections in the state.
Goje made the call in an interview with the newsmen in Gombe yesterday.
She said women have vital role to play in politics for the development of the state and the country at large.
Goje commended the state governor for carrying women along in his cabinet and other appointments.
According to her, she is not interested to contest for any position being the daughter of party elder in the state except, if people call for.
“The politics is not about one person, is about the party and working as a team,” she said.
She further described the retirement of Sen. Danjuma Goje from contesting of any political position as timely as he spend more than half of his life serving people.
