Liverpool Football Club on Sunday evening further reduced Everton’s chances of getting out of the relegation zone in a 2-0 victory at Anfield.

The first first half of the game of the game was intensed as expected from both teams which ended goalless.

Liverpool having more pressure on the game recorded their first goal in the 62nd minutes from Robertson. The Jurgen Klopp’s boys did not relent on that as Divock Origi doubled the lead with just five minutes to the sound of the final whistle which made 2-0.

The depressed Everton left flat footed with Liverpool taking a larger chunk of possessions.

Sunday’s victory for the Reds has closed the four points margin created by Manchester City on Saturday. With just one point lead for City and five games left for the two teams it is perceived that the title chase is far from over.

Everton on the other hand would need a form of miracle to turn things around as they face Chelsea next weekend in their quest to get out of the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, Chelsea had a narrow victory over West Ham, a win to keep them in contention for top four.
