On Friday evening, Card’s body was found inside a recycling facility box trailer, approximately 10 miles away from the location of the shootings. It is reported that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Following an extensive 48-hour manhunt, the city of Lewiston and its surrounding communities can now begin to mourn.

The shootings had instilled fear among residents, causing schools to close and forcing people to remain indoors as the police searched for the gunman.
