Man arrested for allegedly beheading father on farm

The Osun State Police Command has arrested a suspect named Saudi for allegedly murdering his father in a shocking incident in Ilusi village.

The gruesome event has left the community in disbelief, marking the first such occurrence in decades.

According to sources, the victim, known as Baale, went missing after leaving for the farm on Thursday morning. Ismail Olaolu, a local resident, reported that a search party composed mainly of village youth found Baale’s headless body on Friday, November 1, hidden beneath palm leaves.

Suspicion quickly turned to Baale’s son, who had accompanied him to the farm that day. After being interrogated, he reportedly confessed to the crime.

The victim’s motorcycle and cocoa harvest were discovered near the body at the farm.

Osun Police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola confirmed the arrest, stating that the suspect is currently in custody as investigations continue.
