Nephew masterminded murder of Aunt, six children

Fresh details have emerged in the horrific killing of a woman and her six children, with investigators alleging that the massacre was carefully planned by the victims’ nephew in an act of shocking family betrayal.

Security sources said the prime suspect allegedly conceived the plot after a prolonged dispute within the family, believed to be connected to property and inheritance issues. Rather than acting alone, he is accused of recruiting accomplices and providing them with detailed information about the household, including routines and access points.

The attack reportedly took place late at night when assailants invaded the family home and carried out the killings before escaping. Residents in the area said they heard screams and raised alarm, but help arrived after the attackers had already fled.

Investigators disclosed that intelligence gathered after the incident led to the arrest of the nephew several days later. During questioning, he allegedly admitted to orchestrating the crime and identified others who directly participated in the attack. Law enforcement officers also recovered weapons believed to have been used in the killings.

The incident has left the community devastated, with neighbours and local leaders expressing disbelief that such violence could originate from within the same family. Many described the victims as quiet and law-abiding, calling the attack senseless and cruel.
