A male suspected criminal has confessed, following his arrest, to deceiving so many people to get their nude pictures and videos, and later threatened to blackmail them if they refuses to send money to him.
His arrest came after a lady who is Identified as Zahra Mansur has complained that someone uses her name, pictures, and videos, creating Facebook accounts, and defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
According to a report by police public relation officer, DSP Haruna Kiyawa, The Fraudster is specialized in using female names, creating Social Media accounts, and defrauding his victims.
From the recent development, the Commissioner of Police, CP Sama’ila Dikko, requested for the arrest of the suspected fraudster.
The Police has successfully apprehended him, after he confessed that he used Social Media and creates fake accounts to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
Musa Lurwanu Maje, who is popularly known on the Social Media as Musa L Maje is a 26 years indegene of Sitti Village area Sumaila LGA, Kano State.
He claimed to have created a fake Facebook account bearing ‘’Zahra Mansur‘’ and uses her pictures and videos to defraud people without her consent.
The suspect was arrested in possession of a Redmi Note 11 Pro mobile phone Worth the sum Two Hundred Thousand Naira and other valuable accessories bought from the proceeds of fraud.
Police also revealed that the sum of Seventy Thousand Naira was discovered from his possession. Nude pictures and videos of victims were also recovered from him.
