The heir to the throne of world football is Kylian Mbappe, and the French star continued his rise to stardom on Wednesday evening as he scored his 100th goal at club level, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi at the same age.

Mbappe’s career has been a blistering quick one, starting with his emergence at Monaco, where he scored a total of 27 of his century of goals.

Ever since signing for Paris Saint-Germain, the World Cup winner has scored 73 club goals across all competitions.

These are figures which suggest that Mbappe is set to dominate the sport for the next decade, in much the same way that Ronaldo and Messi have characterized the last generation.

At the same age, neither Messi nor Ronaldo had reached 100 goals at club level, with the Argentine having 27 in his three seasons in the Barcelona first team, and the Portuguese still in just his second year at Old Trafford.

Messi scored his 100th career goal on January 16, 2010 against Sevilla aged 22 years and six months, whilst Ronaldo hit the milestone on January 27, 2008 at 22 years and 11 months.
