In a bold move to bridge the digital divide, the Media and Disability Care Initiative (MEDCI) has equipped young technicians, including persons with disabilities with vital ICT skills and licensed software to foster digital inclusion and economic empowerment.

The free training, held on Sunday, provided beneficiaries with technical knowledge and critical software to enhance businesses.

Speaking during the programme, MEDCI’s Head of ICT, Mr Iliyasu Zannn, said the initiative underscores the growing need for accessible digital tools in today’s tech-driven economy.

One beneficiary, a visually impaired mobile phone technician, shared his excitement, “For the first time, I received genuine software without breaking the bank.
