Members of the Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria, Nasarawa state branch, yesterday, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chief Medical Director, Nasarawa State Hospitals Management Board Dr Egba Edego, on his well-deserved appointment.
In a statement signed by the NSHMB information officer Bilkisu Adamu, the chairman of the association, Kyari Caleb, appreciated the CMD for granting them an audience and congratulated him on his well-deserved appointment which they said was due to his hard work, personality and wealth of experience in the medical profession as a renowned Consultant.
In his address, the chairman sought consideration for the employment of more medical laboratory scientists in the Hospitals Management Board, an upgrade to fully automated equipment medical laboratories standard in General Hospitals across the state and training of medical laboratory scientists/sponsorship of AGM workshops.

Responding, the CMD Dr Egba appreciated the team for the visit, advising that it is necessary to seek dialogue on pressing issues than resulting in industrial action, stressing that every profession should be respected without attaching superiority.
Director Medical Laboratory Science department of Nasarawa State Hospitals Management Board also reiterated the concerns listed by the chairman of the association while other Directors took turns to welcome and appreciate them for the visit.
Donald, in his closing remarks, thanked the CMD for making time out of his tight schedules, appreciating his purposeful and inclusive leadership style.
