NAF bombards terrorist stronghold in Borno, destroys logistics hub
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recorded a major success in its counterterrorism campaign with a precision airstrike that destroyed a key terrorist logistics hub in Dabar Masara, located in the Southern Tumbuns of Borno State.
The operation was carried out on Sunday by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, following credible intelligence reports indicating the presence of a terrorist workshop and sustained movement of armed fighters in the area.
In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the strike was intelligence-driven and preceded by coordinated Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions.

According to Ejodame, surveillance operations revealed repeated terrorist activities as well as several vehicles hidden under thick vegetation, confirming the location as an active logistics base. Further monitoring on the day of the operation showed terrorists manoeuvring within the area and around the concealed vehicles.
“After positive identification and in strict compliance with the Rules of Engagement, the targets were engaged,” he said.
Post-strike Battle Damage Assessment confirmed that the identified vehicles were destroyed and several terrorist elements neutralised.
