Neptune Prime MD, Mrs Ayanda Ngwane, pays tribute to retired Air Vice Marshal Omatsola Okorodudu at funeral service
The Managing Director of Neptune Prime Network, Mrs Ayanda Ngwane, attended the solemn burial of Air Vice Marshal (RTD) Terry Omatsola Okorodudu, a distinguished officer known for his kindness and charity.
The ceremony, which took place at the Armed Forces Officers Mess, was marked by heartfelt tributes from colleagues, friends and family, emphasising the deceased’s exemplary character and dedication to service.
The presence of various dignitaries reflected the high regard in which he was held, and of the Marshal’s significant contributions to the Airforce and his compassionate leadership.

Attendees expressed immense gratitude for his unwavering commitment and the lasting legacy he leaves behind, making the event a poignant reminder of a life well-lived and a career dedicated to national service.
Mrs Ayanda composed a heartfelt eulogy in remembrance of him and to comfort his darling wife, her good friend and mentor Mrs Joan Okorodudu.
“Today, we gather to celebrate a life that embodied excellence, compassion, and kindness. A man who was more than just a leader, but a father, a mentor, and a guiding light.
“Uncle Terry, as I affectionately called him, left an indelible mark on my life, and I’m sure, on the lives of many others.
“I recall our first meeting vividly, when I interviewed him as an editor at Leadership Newspaper. His intellect, sophistication, and humility shone bright, even in the face of adversity.
“What struck me most was his ability to see beyond the surface, to recognise the unique spark in others. He saw something in me that day, something that reminded him of his beloved wife, Joan.
“That interview sparked a beautiful friendship, one that transcended borders and industries. Joan and I clicked, and our bond grew stronger with each passing day. To be entrusted with overseeing their business in SA was an honour, but to be here today, to pay tribute to this extraordinary man, is a privilege beyond words.
“Uncle Terry was a soldier of peace, dignity, and class. He stood tall, even in the face of darkness, and inspired others to do the same. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, including mine.
“Rest in power, dear Uncle Terry. Your memory will forever be a blessing, and your impact will continue to shape our world. May you find peace, and may your family find comfort in the love and memories you shared.
“I’ve never seen a man who loved and supported his wife so loudly and passionately.
Rest easy, Great Air-Soldier, Salute.
Air Vice Marshal (RTD) Terry Omatsola Okorodudu is survived by his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
