Neptune Prime Publisher, Dr Hassan Gimba, emerges GOCOP Advisory Council chairman

Story by Ibraheem El-Tafseer

The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has announced the constitution of an Advisory Council made up of distinguished media professionals, aimed at offering strategic guidance to the National Executive Council (NEC) in driving the vision and objectives of the current leadership.

In a statement released by the General Secretary of the Guild, Mr Sufuyan Ojeifo, on November 25, 2025, the move is part of broader efforts to enhance professionalism, strengthen institutional capacity, and improve governance within the organisation.

The Advisory Council named renowned Publisher/CEO of Neptune Prime Newspaper, Dr. Hassan Gimba, as chairman, alongside 28 eminent members from across Nigeria’s most vibrant and credible online newspapers.

Ray Echebiri will serve as Deputy Chairman, with other notable members including Musikilu Mojeed, Jaafar Jaafar, Yemi Olowolabi, Maureen Chigbo, and Dotun Oladipo, among others.
