A Non-Governmental Organisation, Forward Yobe, Forward, has raised funds needed by a cancer patient for treatment in Potiskum, Yobe state.
Fatima Musa, the patient, is in need of surgery for breast cancer.
Fatima, a 39 year old female from Potiskum local government area of Yobe State, has since March 2017, been suffering from breast cancer.
She has been unable to undergo surgery as a result of her inability to afford the medical bills which cost N200,000. Forward Yobe, Forward have contributed N163,000 obtained through donations resulting from its plea on facebook.
The organisation handed over the money to Alhaji Sale Jaji (Fatima’s Ward Head) in the presence of Malam Sale (her relative) and other entourage of the Ward Head present.
The organisation called on Nigerians to donate to the cause to enable Fatima receive the treatment she needs as she is leaving for University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital to commence treatment immediately.
