Troops belonging to the Nigerian Military’s Operation HADIN KAI in the North East successfully neutralized members of Boko Haram and Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) who were attempting to cross the Nigerian territory from the Cameroon border.

Maj.-Gen. Buba’s deputy stated, “Troops of Operation HADIN KAI  in the Northeast zone of the country have continued to intensify operations against terrorists, including their logistics suppliers and collaborators.”

He went on to provide details of the operation, explaining, “On 22 June 2023, following an intelligence report about terrorists crossing from Cameroon to Nigeria, troops laid an ambush along Bula Yobe-Darel Jamel in Bama. A firefight ensued, resulting in the neutralization of five Boko Haram Terrorists/Islamic State of West Africa Province terrorists. One bag each of flour and detergent were recovered.”
