Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman bags nomination for 2024 Globe Soccer Award
Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman is in the running for the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards.
Lookman and Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah are the only Africans on the shortlist.
Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, Cole Palmer and Phil Foden are among the other nominees for the award.
Lookman has enjoyed a remarkable year for both club and country.
The 27-year-old was one of the star performers for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Atalanta star scored three goals and registered one assist in seven outings for Super Eagles at the competition.

The dazzling winger also scored a historic hat-trick for Atalanta in the final of the UEFA Europa League.
He also finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or ranking and is also in the running for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year.
