Nigeria’s wealth rooted in citizens’ creativity, not oil – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed that Nigeria’s true wealth lies in the creativity, innovation, and enterprise of its citizens rather than in crude oil revenues.
Speaking at a public event, the President stressed that the nation must shift its focus toward human capital development and value creation, noting that oil alone can no longer sustain Nigeria’s economic ambitions.

Tinubu highlighted the ingenuity of Nigerians in technology, entertainment, agriculture, and other sectors as the country’s most valuable asset. He urged policymakers and private sector leaders to invest more in empowering citizens through skills, education, and modern infrastructure.
He added that sustainable growth depends on unleashing the potential of the people, not relying on volatile global oil markets.
