NSA threatens defamation lawsuit against Kano Deputy Governor

National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu has threatened legal action against Kano State Deputy Governor Aminu Gwarzo over alleged defamatory remarks.

Gwarzo claimed that Ribadu facilitated the return of the dethroned Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, by providing him with two private jets.

Ribadu, denying these allegations, has demanded a retraction and a public apology from the deputy governor. In a letter from his legal counsel, Aliyu & Musa Chambers, Ribadu requested Gwarzo to apologise within 24 hours and publish the apology in five national newspapers and on popular online platforms.

Failure to meet these demands will result in Ribadu seeking redress through the courts.
