Arab nations condemn Israeli airstrikes on Syria, call for restraint

Several Arab nations have strongly condemned recent airstrikes carried out by Israel on targets in Syria, warning that the attacks could further destabilise the already volatile region.

In separate statements, governments across the Arab world described the strikes as a violation of Syria’s sovereignty and urged the international community to take steps to prevent further escalation.

Regional bodies, including the Arab League, called for restraint and emphasised the need for diplomatic solutions to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

Officials said the attacks risk worsening the humanitarian situation in Syria and could trigger broader conflict involving multiple actors in the region.

The condemnation comes amid heightened tensions across the Middle East, with ongoing military confrontations and retaliatory actions involving several countries.

Arab leaders have reiterated calls for respect for international law and urged all parties to prioritise dialogue over military action to ensure stability in the region.
