Police arrest man with human skulls, locally made firearms

The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested Ovuta Chigozie for possession of two human skulls and three locally made firearms.

The suspect who hailed from Okoffia in Ezza South LGA, admitted during questioning that the skulls were given to him for use in creating a spiritual concoction.

Authorities are also pursuing another individual involved in the case.

In a separate operation, while investigating a stolen tricycle, police uncovered a criminal syndicate that specializes in altering the colours of stolen tricycles from neighbouring states. Four suspects; Nweke Chukwudi, Nwankwo Obinna, John Abba, and Uche Abba, were arrested. They confessed to receiving the stolen tricycles for colour modifications.

The police recovered three stolen tricycles and are continuing investigations. The suspects will face charges in court once investigations are completed.

Ebonyi State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu, issued a statement on Wednesday, reaffirming the force’s dedication to protecting citizens and property across the state.
