Popular American actor, Chris Evans, emerges Sexiest Man Alive for 2022

American actor, Christopher Robert Evans, popularly referred to as Chris Evans, has been declared the Sexiest Man Alive for 2022 by People’s Magazine.

The revelation was made during an episode of Stephen Colbert’s late-night programme.

Evans, who will be featured on the cover of the magazine’s special issue, was also featured in some dashing photos on its website.

The Captain America actor joins a long list of former champions, including Idris Elba, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Michael Jordan, Chris Hemsworth, and others.

Evans will succeed Paul Rudd, a fellow Marvel superhero who was given the same title by People in November 2021.

In an interview for the cover story, Evans, 41, said that while most of his friends would tease him for the new title, his mother would be overjoyed.

He noted: “My mum will be so happy, she’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about. Really this will just be a point of bullying. It’s ripe for harassment.”

The actor known for one of his latest roles in the movie ‘The Gray Man’ noted that he is becoming more conscious of his health as he grows older.

“In the good old days, I could eat whatever I wanted, do a couple workouts per week and be okay. That is not the case anymore. If I have two beers, I wear it. I haven’t had to play a role like Captain America in a while so things like diet and workout regimen haven’t been on my radar. But getting older, things are clicking and sore and it’s harder to wake up, you have less energy.”
