Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan have signed a multi-year deal with the world’s biggest movie streaming platform, Netflix Incorporation to begin the production of films and children’s shows with other scripted contents.
This was disclosed by the streaming platform on Wednesday.
The deal could be a major breakthrough financially for the couple especially for Harry after making a lifetime decision in January 2020 to step back from royal duties.
The decision made the couple to move to Southern California with their newborn baby, Archie.
Their film production works will focus on life-based contents giving attention to the family.
“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us,” the couple said in a statement.
Meghan, a former television star in the United States is not a stranger in film production, as her experience while staring in the renowned film series “Suits” could be an advantage for them.
Netflix Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos said, “We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home.”
