Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

Kannywood actresses Rahama Sadau and Maryam Booth go head-to-head in the upcoming family drama ‘The Two Aishas’.

The film, which showcases the beauty of Islam and culture, is set to release nationwide on April 24th to celebrate the end of Ramadan.

The movie revolves around two women of the same Islamic faith and status who are married to best friends. Their loyalty and friendship get tested when one feels robbed and betrayed by the other, threatening to tear apart their enduring childhood friendship and test their faith as devout Muslims.

Filled with intrigues such as forgiveness, betrayal, love, rivalry, and piousness, the film promises to keep fans glued to the box-office screen until the end-credit.

The movie features not only the two most-loved Kannywood actresses but also a versatile cast, including Paul Utomi, Akeem Ogara, and Shushu Abubakar, with special appearances by Nyma Akashat-Zibiri and Sulaiman Aledeh, among others.

One of the highlights of the film is its humanitarian slant, as it gave street kids a rare opportunity to live their Nollywood dream for the first time as movie extras.

Arabel Productions, the Executive Producer of the film, shared her excitement about the movie, saying, “Arabel has been a household name in the fashion industry for over two decades. We are thrilled to find new ways to elevate the beauty of Islam and celebrate our culture.

‘The Two Aishas’ provided us with an opportunity to showcase our creativity through filmmaking. Indeed, there is a nexus between fashion and film, so this is not a totally strange terrain for us. This marks an exciting new journey for Arabel, and we are absolutely thrilled to share the output of this beautiful experience with the rest of the world. I believe that everyone will be proud of what we have created.”

Overall, ‘The Two Aishas’ is a compelling film that addresses relatable themes and promises to entertain and enlighten its audience.
