Resident doctors halt nationwide strike action

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has decided to suspend its nationwide strike, initially initiated on July 26, 2023.

The primary objective of the strike was to prompt the federal government’s attention towards meeting the association’s demands.

These demands encompass an array of issues, most notably the immediate implementation of a 200 percent increase in the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS), among other concerns.

NARD President Emeka Orji officially announced the suspension on Friday evening.
