Rivers governor announces probe into Wike’s administration

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara declared that his administration will form a special panel to investigate the eight years of governance under former Governor Nyesom Wike.

Governor Fubara revealed this plan during the swearing-in ceremony of Dagogo Israel Iboroma as the new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of the State.

Iboroma had been carefully screened and approved by a section of the Rivers State House of Assembly, overseen by Speaker Rt. Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo within the Government House chambers in Port Harcourt.

The Governor wasted no time in inaugurating Iboroma into office and emphasised the need for accountability by promising a thorough investigation into the past government’s actions over the last eight years.

The new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dagogo Israel Iboroma, took over from Professor Zaccheus Adangor SAN, who stepped down upon being reassigned to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s office) two weeks earlier.
