Salvage, by Angela Chime

Amidst multitude and cheers she walk
Behind cameras she works
With delight all and sundry adores
In beauty and fragrance she’s adored
A moment away from cameras
A view she’s made to show

The outcome a mess she knows
A hustle too messy to tackle
Both male and female in a race
Amidst cheers and excitement
To catch a glimpse at the moment
Salvage!

Suddenly come the storm
Aiming to put a stop
The lifetime hustle and tussle
The solid foundation layed
A lifetime struggle displayed
The ark that took years to build
Like gathered grains of rice
Albert all maybe lies

Like bucket of paint when kicked
A great white patch spread quick
Across the ground, covering up the facts.
Coming heavier and stronger lies the fallacy

An immaculate shirt with a spot
A heavy blow upon the image
The sources she tries to figure
She fights hard to disfigure
Be it as it may, the target is the dream
Life’s like a bicycle.

She must move to the pinnacle.
