Senator Adamu Talba laid to rest in Yobe

The remains of Senator Adamu Garba Talba have been laid to rest in Sabon Garin Nangere. The funeral prayer was led by Idaini of Tikau Emirate, Imam Uwaisu Idris, at Mai Tikau’s palace Sabon Garin Nangere, Nangere local government Yobe State.
Late Senator Adamu Talba, represented Yobe South (Zone B) from 2007 to 2011. He died at the National Hospital Abuja on Monday 14th July 2025, after a brief illness at the age of 73. He is survived by one wife and five children.
The Deputy Governor of Yobe state Hon. Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune) attended the funeral prayers of late Senator Adamu Garba Talba (Magajin Garin Tikau). In a brief speech shortly after the burial, the Deputy Governor, described the deceased as humble, committed and generous politician who was popular and liked by his followers.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Deputy speaker Yobe state House of assembly, Hon Yau Usman Dachiya and members of the state House of assembly, commissioners and special advisers.
Also in attendance were the Emir of Fune and Pataskum as well as thousands of sympathisers in and around Yobe State.
The deputy governor on behalf of himself and the government of Yobe state condoled the family of the deceased, Emir and good people of Nangere local government and indeed zone B.

He expressed Sympathy and prayed for the reposed soul of the deceased and for his family to bear the fortitude of his loss. He also prayed for Allah to grant him Aljannatul Firdausi.
