Sokoto SSG daughter, grandchildren perish in devastating fire incident

The Secretary to the Sokoto State Government (SSG), Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, suffered a tragic loss when a fatal fire incident claimed the lives of his daughter and her three children in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased was the wife of the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello.

The fire broke out during the night, engulfing the entire house while the family slept. Tragically, only her husband survived the incident.

Efforts by the state fire service to control the blaze lasted for hours, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The remains of the housewife and her three children will be buried at Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque, Sifawa, at midnight. The burial will take place at the family home of the SSG.
