Spain book 1st FWWC final after 2-1 victory over Sweden 

 

Spain have qualified for their first FIFA Women’s World Cup final after beating Sweden 2-1 on Tuesday.

Spain broke deadlock in the 81st minute after a barrel draw in the first 45 minutes courtesy, S.C. Paralluelo Ayingongo to put her team in the lead.

Spain’s joyous mood was cut short after Blomqvist’s right footed shot sent the ball to the far right corner to level the game 1-1 in the 88th minute.

It took Spain 94 seconds to reply with the winning goal after Olga Carmona’s left footed short went straight to the far right corner to make it 2-1.

Spain will wait till tomorrow after the battle between Australia and England.
