The Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu has created a new unit to replace the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba said the new unit is named Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team.
The unit, he said, will fill the gaps arising from the dissolution of the defunct SARS.
